He is a Full Professor of Business Administration at the European University of Rome, where he teaches Financial Statements and Accounting Standards and Business Valuation (in English). He is also head of the courses in Extraordinary Operations at the University of Florence and Financial Statement Analysis at the Guardia di Finanza [Finance Police] Economic and Financial Police School.
He is, and has been, President and member of the Board of Statutory Auditors and of the Supervisory Board pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree no. 231/2001 in listed and unlisted companies, institutions, banks and insurance companies. Among others, he held the position of President and member of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Telecom Italia S.p.A. (listed), ASTM S.p.A. (listed), Poste Vita S.p.A. (Poste Italiane Group), Artigiancassa S.p.A. (BNP Paribas Group).
He is a business, tax and corporate consultant. In particular, he has issued opinions and coordinated operations concerning business valuation, M&A, due diligence, business reporting (OICs and IFRSs), control systems and corporate reorganisation. He is a member of arbitration panels, a court-appointed and party-appointed civil, criminal and administrative technical adviser.
He is a member of the National Accounting Standards Commission of the OIC (Italian Accounting Body) and of the steering and/or scientific committee of journals and monographic series. He is a member of Italian and international scientific societies.
He is the author of numerous monographs and scientific publications in Italian and international journals.
